The Bun is Out of the Oven

29 Weeks

Posted by: bunintheoven on: January 24, 2007

Gosh, the weeks are flying by. Hmm, what’s been new the last week?

  • I’ve started having Braxton Hicks contractions on a semi-regular basis. They’re nothing to worry about as long as you’re not having more then 4 per hour (a sign of premature labor.)
  • Cameron’s movements have changed from mostly kicks to more large nudges and shifting… I guess because she’s getting bigger and there’s less room in there for her to be bouncing all over the place. I’m easily entertained watching my belly move.
  • I have resigned vacuuming duties. The past 2 times I vacuumed the house (all at once) it really flared up the sciatica. So, I told Hal (who has never run the vacuum since we’ve lived in the house) that he’s going to have take that over. He didn’t mind. I think he’d rather do it then hear me complain of pain for 1-2 days after!
  • We now have all the furniture for the nursery. I think this weekend we’re going to try and break down the room, assemble the crib and move everything in there.
  • I have a stack of baby clothes sitting on the love seat in the nursery & Duke keeps going in there and pulling the same piece of clothing down… kind of funny. The last time he did it I called him in there to let him smell and then put it back. I guess he’s starting to wonder what’s going on. Simon is mostly oblivious, aside from the fact that he can no longer nestle himself in my belly and that kind of pisses him off.
  • We have the 3D Sonogram on Monday afternoon. I’m going to have Hal help me convert the 15-minute DVD to video and post online along with the still images… so check back Tuesday.
