UGH, it was not fun! It was very uncomfortable, but going as well as it could, until about 10 minutes into the procedure. He kept poking me with something and I could feel him hitting a nerve. The first time I jumped (my butt came off the chair)… the 3rd time I felt my hand instinctively reach up to try and jerk his away. He said, “Try and relax…” What the HELL?! Try and relax? When I know at any moment you’re going to inflict severe pain on me??? After the 4th or 5th time of me almost jumping up out of the chair in pain, I said “WHY AM I FEELING THIS??!!!” He said, “Normally you don’t feel this, but sometimes you do…” I felt my face getting really hot and my heart palpating. I was getting so angry & nervous for the next twinge of pain that I could feel my eyes welling up with tears. I didn’t cry, but I came pretty close. He’s lucky he made it through the procedure without me reaching up and breaking his wrist! Eventually, after the 7th or 8th time, it ended. He told me it was normal to feel some level of pain after the procedure (anywhere from a small amount to very intense pain… nice big window there, huh?) for 1-2 days. So, of course, I was nervous to see how I felt when the numbness wore off. But, thank the good Lord, I felt fine… even better than the past couple days!! It’s OVER! After all the aggravation, pain and $1,200 … I’m not getting back in that chair for quite a while!
